1 Corinthians 15:58

"A MERRY HEART"

DOOETH GOOD LIKE A MEDICINE

            GREAT REASONING:

1.  I was thinking about what a status symbol of today those cell phones are that everyone has clipped on their belt or purse.  I can't afford one so I'm wearing my garage door opener.  I also made a cover for my hearing aid and now I have what they call blue teeth, I think!!

2. You know I spent a fortune on deodorant before I realized that people didn't like me anyway.

3.  I was thinking about old age and decided that old age is when you still have something on the ball, but you are just too tired to bounce it.

4.  I thought about making a fitness movie for folks my age, and call it "pumping rust!"

5.  When people see a cat's litter box, they always say, 'Oh, have you got a cat?'  Just once I would like to say, "No, it's for company."

6.  Employment application blanks always ask who is to be notified in case of an emergency.  I think you should answer, "A good Doctor."

7.  I was thinking about how people seem to read the Bible a whole lot more as they get older.  Then it dawned on me, they were cramming for their finals.

Well, we’ve given you some chords to work with and I hope you have had time to experiment with them and gain some insight into the styles that work with them. Speaking of style, that is the subject for this month’s article. I want us to look at some chord progressions and try them in a couple of different styles and tempos. This will give you more flexibility in your writing and will perhaps inspire you to take a

take a song that you’ve previously written that may not have worked like you wanted and give it new life.

     We’ll use the same chord progression of 16 measures,(tags and endings not included), and try them in 3 / 4, 4 / 4, and 6 / 8 time to
see how they can fit and change the style of what you are hearing.

Now try it in 6/8 time and vary the melody slightly to fit.

Now convert it to 4/4 and we will compare notes next time.
